Ofcom metering and billing Approval Bodies

Ofcom regulates the accuracy of bills issued by providers of electronic communications services and requires communications providers with a relevant annual turnover in excess of £40 million to obtain approval of their metering and billing systems from third-party assessors against a prescribed standard. These third-party assessors are known as Approval Bodies.

Ofcom has today confirmed, following consultation, that Enigma QPM Ltd. (Enigma) will join the British Approvals Board of Telecommunications (BABT) and the British Standards Institution (BSI) as Approval Bodies.
