We aim to maintain impartiality and balance in our editorial while being funded by sponsored links which are clearly indicated on content, search and ICT Directory pages. Any supplier of ICT products, services and information to the UK small business market, including government and not-for-profit organisations, may have a free entry in our categorised and searchable ICT Directory.TelecomsAdvice has five main sections

- information sheets - more focused articles on applications and technologies and specific topics
- FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions and some quick answers
- indexed A-Z glossary and links - brief explanations of the technical jargon with links to related items on TelecomsAdvice and specialist external websites
- our own ICT Directory – where suppliers can list for free their own products and services

Finding information on TelecomsAdvice
There are four ways of getting to specific information on TelecomsAdvice -
- browse through the a-z index - here you will find entries for technical terms, abreviations, key words and phrases, with links to content on TelecomsAdvice and to other websites
- browse through the categories listing pages on TelecomsAdvice by title
- browse the ICT Directory categories
- use the search engine - enter any word or phrase into the search box, and if it is mentioned anywhere on TelecomsAdvice our search engine will find it
Using the search engine
- if you enter two or more keywords, the search engine will look for ANY of the words
- if you want ALL your keywords to appear in the results, preceed them with a plus sign, eg broadband +Telewest
- to search for an exact phrase, use quotation marks, eg “number portability”
