Crucible Multimedia Ltd
Crucible Multimedia Ltd. was set up in March 2000 to design, develop, edit and administer the TelecomsAdvice website in partnership with Oftel, the Oftel Small Business Task Force members and the EU funded Telerise Project at the University of Sheffield. TelecomsAdvice, and hence Crucible, were funded by a combination of private sector sponsorship from large telecoms and ICT companies, public sector funding from Ofcom and EU funded support.
Oftel is now Ofcom and TelecomsAdvice is now funded entirely by commercial sponsorship. During the development and transition of TelecomsAdvice, Crucible has developed commercial website development knowledge and skills and a broad knowledge of, and contacts in, the market for ICT products and services.
Crucible was originally positioned as a 'trusted third party' and ethical publisher - brokering sponsorship deals and partnerships between the public, not-for-profit, charitable and private sectors. We have increased our scope to encompass consultancy in ICT and web development services for both private and public sector clients, working with partners in:
- Internet, telecommunications and similar ICT product and service market research and design.
- New media marketing strategies for any product or service - using Internet, mobile phone etc. channels.
- Website design and development - from the most economical small business Internet presence to the most secure and advanced service delivery platform.
- Mobile phone content and service design and development.
