Grants for Broadband

Grants are available to SMEs in several areas of the UK. Applicants should contact the organisations involved. Please let us know about any funding schemes which are not listed.

‘Rabbit’ is a joint project by several Regional Development Agencies and Devolved administrations, its aim is to enable SMEs to connect to new technologies at a more reasonable cost, covering:

South East of England Regional development agency (RDA)

East Midlands DA

South West of England RDA

East Of England DA

Advantage West Midlands

Northern Ireland

DETI sponsored programme that will facilitate the broadband connection of SMEs without access to ADSL. Companies will be able to receive up to 50% of the start-up and first year running costs of receiving broadband via a satellite link. See DETI Online

Wales

The SME Satellite Broadband Subsidy Scheme is open to all Small and Medium enterprises (SMEs) in Wales located where no alternative terrestrial connection to broadband services is available. See Broadband Wales Broadband
